LENT 2026
✝
“The church presumes that life is long and zeal fades, not just for some of us but for all. So it has included within its life a season in which all of us can recapture our love of God and his kingdom and cast off those things that so easily entangle us.”
Esau McCauley
Lent is a centuries-old Christian practice of prayer and fasting in preparation for Easter. This 40-day period (not including Sundays) invites us to walk with Jesus on His journey to the cross and is meant to turn our heart, mind, and body toward the reality of His life, death and resurrection.
There are many ways to engage with the season of Lent. This year, starting on Ash Wednesday (February 18th) our community will begin a rhythm of fasting, praying, and reading Scripture together.
